Melbourne Airport's development

Melbourne Airport is building a third runway, which will deliver much needed aviation infrastructure capacity for Victoria and help support thousands of new jobs. The parallel runway system will significantly increase Melbourne Airport's capacity by allowing for simultaneous take-offs and landings, which will help reduce delays, encourage growth and facilitate competition between airlines. With more than 76 million travellers expected by 2042, it's important we plan for this demand.

Shantelle O'Riordan the Community Engagement Advisor, from Melbourne Airport's community engagement team, will provide an overview on the third runway and supporting projects, as well as the Airport's work in community.
